Gravity Golf School Arkansas | Altus Practice Facility
Arkansas | Altus Practice Facility
The 20 acre private practice facility was constructed in 2008 and is located at Altus, Arkansas (near Fort Smith). The facility is home to Gravity Golf playing professional John Edgin and Master Instructor Jim Edgin. The site has a covered and lighted hitting area complete with three – five foot by ten foot professional hitting mats and a twelve foot putting mat, three Bermuda grass tee boxes, and a practice bunker. The site has been host to three Gravity Golf clinics taught by both David and Daniel Lee as well as two Summer Junior Player Development Programs. Altus is the wine capitol of Arkansas. Wiederkehrs, Post Family and several others make Altus their home and headquarters. Tours are available and recommended if in the area. There are also many camping, hunting and fishing opportunities within the area. St Mary’s Catholic church, one of the most beautiful churches in the region, sits atop the high point over looking Altus. Close by is Ozark Recreation Association. The fun nine hole course is just a couple of miles from the Practice Facility. Eagle Crest, a beautiful eighteen hole course with zoysia grass fairways amazing views, and listed on the state golf trail, is about twenty five miles West on I40 towards Fort Smith.
